Benefactors — And Innocent Taxpayers — Beware: The Perilous Hundreds of Billions of Dollars of G7 Foreign Aid — PGII

On June 26, 2022, the White House released a “FACT SHEET” stating, “President Biden and G7 Leaders Formally Launch the Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment” — PGII.

According to the FACT SHEET,

“The U.S. aims to mobilize $200 billion for PGII over the next 5 years through grants, Federal financing, and leveraging private sector investments. Together with G7 partners, we aim to mobilize $600 billion by 2027 in global infrastructure investments. And this will only be the beginning”.

Also, PGII will “deliver game-changing projects to close the infrastructure gap in developing countries”.

Well, Not So Fast !!!

As a person whose Motherland is Africa, humanity’s Homeland, it particularly gives me no pleasure to pen this piece.

However, “Empathetic Dualism” — please excuse the coinage — demands this article.

No amount of money from the West or the East can reverse the decadence and rot powered by unfathomable leadership corruption, self -centeredness and failure of mindset in these failing nations.

Hopefully, those interested in the well-being of the wounded and forgotten in the failing nations of our world, most of which are in Sub-Saharan Africa, will ruminate on these bitter truths.

Some of us have struggled for several decades to make any sense of the oligarchic, visionless, non-imaginative and society-destroying proclivities of several successive Sub-Saharan African leaders.

Hence, on this issue of another hundreds of billions of dollars of non-African totally authored cerebral development plan, silence is not an option.

The Politics

Let me state at the outset where I stand in geopolitics using terms familiar with most people in the West and some in the East.

I am a fierce independent.

I am neither a liberal nor a conservative.
