Huge fan of Camus. Most touching was his faithful devotion to his roots and never forgetting those who pulled him from the "basement" of social status.
After winning the 1957 Nobel Prize for Literature, he wrote the elementary school teacher:
"When I heard the news, my first thought after my mother was about you. Without you, without the affectionate hand you extended to the small poor child that I was, without your teaching and example, none of all this would have happened".
